Interesting ChargePoint experience today...

Went over to Ben's Chili Bowl in Washington, DC today with a bunch of work mates. We pulled around to the charger, and the space was open (this sometimes is 1/2 the challenge in a city). Unfortunately, after 4 attempts, the handle would not release from the charger. You could here it mechanically release, but it wouldn't budge. We decided to take a chance and walk to eat lunch, still concerned though that we might get a ticket.

From the restaurant, I called the number on the ChargePoint card. After going through all the basics, they said they had to elevate this to another level of support. When we got back to the car, I tried one more time, and it worked.

So the moral of the story is, when having problems with a charger, call ChargePoint from the charger and they might be able to solve a mechanical problem remotely.

Where's the charger? In the Reeves Center garage? Or out on U Street?

I have had this problem once before, but fortunately, there was a second EVSE next space over.
Chargepoint would like to know about these things, but you need to be able to tell them the name of the charger. The person I spoke with could not "see" my Volt charging when I called after getting into the theater and could not so anythig about it since I could tell him the name of the charger....

MsKitty4, it was at 14th and U street. It's actually on 14th St., very close to U. She (ChargePoint support) asked me for the zip code. I don't believe there are many other chargers up there.
