Clips might be okay, but could also just mod it with wire cutters and some clips from some junk item in the garage.. (like old jumper cables or a old 12v charger)

It's been a week and the OP hasn't responded. I think we all low why.

I still think there are two possibilities: 1) the person is embarrassed to admit the problem/solution, 2) they were a troll afterall.

That would work if you can make a low resistance connection to the old clips and waterproof and strengthen the junctions well enough to survive years in the trunk and rough handling when finally used. I'm assuming worst case that it's pouring rain with high wind and the gadget has been sitting around for five years. A lot of electrical tape degrades over time, which I guess is why real electricians prefer wire nuts.
What's The amp hour rating of that charger and you may have to disconnect the battery temporarily to start the car with a small portable device if the battery is stone dead.
Want to give us hint on the amp draw at 12 volts to start the car?

Possibly 12 volt battery's dead. Jump start may work. Had slightly similar problem. Battery is in trunk but you jump start from remote terminals near firewall right side under hood. Neg ground easy to locate. Pos term under cover to left. Good luck! We love car despite a few issues. Did you call Roadside Assist? They'll send tow truck to jump start.
If you have to turn the "key" to accessories I think they said to charge for 30 minutes. Could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure since I had to force myself to wait. The whole "accessories position" workaround might have been the problem.
I think putting some clips on would work. That's what I'm going to do. If the thing does work it's really handy since it's so compact. Just not sure how I can test it. But still glad you found it!
True that. i've been looking for the one with clips! Without luck. Probably not happening since most people would probably just get one of the larger chargers.

I like this combo better (name brand, Lithium-ion battery, better storage characteristics, higher capacity):

and this converter to add the required alligator clips

My friends in AUS tell me those clips are Crocodile clips-- the alligator seem to get all the credit.
