    Cool 2014 Chevrolet Impala photo

GM Authority has released the first photos of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala with the new "Chevy" look:

It looks less aggressive than the older "Chevy" look. I have seen this same type of grille on the 2013 Traverse, which will also be seen at the New York International Auto Show which begins today.

The Volt's big brother is out with eAssist, but I wish it had a Voltec drivetrain. It is time for GM to show off its larger vehicles and allow new owners to drive in style, in comfort, and in an EREV!

Looks way different than my 1965 Impala SS, 327, 4 on the floor.

I think it looks pretty good. Smart of them to start paying more attention to the Impala considering that it's one of the best selling car models ever.

Yeah, and our 1995 Impala SS too, LOL. Boy, I sure miss that car (but not the gas mileage, LOL).

Nice. I like how in picture 7, the interior front dash looks a lot like a Volt.

I enjoyed my 2000 Impala even though it gave me problems. We had a hell of a good 125,000 miles together. Got me through all kinds of weather and driving conditions too and the interior fit like a glove.

It's the inside I find to be the nicest. Overall the exterior is not bad. The only thing is that there's no circular tail lights at all (even if they were always two short)! For me it's a big let-down to get rid of that distinctive Impala element. To not even invoke that styling element is even worse.

In total though it's a good looking car and I really like the looks of the interior. I'll definitely sit in one when they come out and see how it feels.

I noticed that too. The shape of the new lights is vaguely resemblant to the 1959 Impala taillights, minus the bat wings. I wonder if the actual lit areas within the outer lens cover are circular, which would give the impression of that classic look when lit at night.

I would agree with most of the comments that it is a really nice looking car. I'm not quite sure what is going on with some of the interior shots however. Is the glowing light blue line some sort of lighting feature or just a pre-production styling touch?

    That's a real lighting feature.
