Default 426 miles total cost 23.56

Ran my volt first full week charging at home and at work. 40 miles each way. Morning temps in the 40's. Gas used 3.1 gallons, charging at home 7.00, work 5.00. When I work it out the cost per mile .055, Amazing. I am looking forward to go even lower as temps get higher and I don't have to use the heater in the morning.
I also took a trip over 200 miles and reset the trip odometer to find out what the MPG on just gas is. For 209 miles I used 5.1 gallons, indicated 40.7. Anyway you slice it the car is just fantastic on energy cost.

I have two questions though. My Volt had no cover for the cargo floor. My dealer claims that none of the Volts at there dealership have them. Mine is a 2011 and was their demonstrator. It is minor but cannot find any other cover aftermarket. Did 2011 come with the cover as standard? If it did, who do i have to contact to get one? No way to store anything in it without everybody just looking in.

How do I tell when my Volt was made, from the vin number? It would sure help me to determine what fixes it may need, as i see other owners report on there Volts.

Yeah it is nice to drive cheap. I will let you guess on ecosister's cost per mile. Hint 4000+ miles, 2 gallons of dealer gas, solar charged.

Congrats! I believe my cover was stuffed in a plastic bag under the cargo floor.

All Volts come with a cargo cover, but it may not be what you're expecting. The factory Volt cargo cover is an elastic flexible one, with a pouch sewn in. It may be under the cargo floor. In pouch form it is ~6"x8".

The easiest way to figure out when your Volt was made is to ask the dealer or your Volt advisor for your order number, which either should be able to get from your VIN. With that number, you can go to chevroletconnects.com and pull out the complete build history. I saved that as a PDF in case it becomes useful later. (I bought off of the Lot three days after it arrived, barely three weeks after mine was built back in October.)

Congrats on the great MPG you're getting! I think you're asking about a cover for the floor area in the cargo area. Your Volt should have one. Contact the Volt advisors and see if they can help you with this. I vaguely remember that they were unavailable for a period. On the other hand, if your asking about a cargo cover, as mentioned, that should be in a pouch either under floor or behind the side panel of the right hand side. It's not substantial.

FYI you can get some heavy duty floor mats. They're quite nice and definitely heavy duty.
