    Default What number am I?

I just drove my new Volt home last night.

I traded in an 2010 fully loaded Acura MDX. There are a few things I will miss from my Acura, some of which I would have expected a car this expensive to have (rear air conditioner for us Arizonans being a significant one), but I understand that the first consideration in the Volt's design is power conservation, and I accept that.

When I bought my Acura a year and a half ago, I went through buyer's remorse the next day, partly thinking "If I had waited a few months I could have bought a Volt instead". I'm not feeling any buyer's remorse on the Volt purchase. It just seems right.

Is there any way to see up-to-date numbers on how many have been sold? I'd like to know about where I fall in the list.

    Congrats and welcome.

Should be a posting on monday or tuesday of total sold in march, which will give you a pretty good idea of where you were in the total list.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I think you'll be very happy. We kept our RL and it's sitting under a cover in the driveway. It's something of a pain because you have to drive these things once a week to keep the battery in shape. Whenever we drive it it seems incredibly rough. I will say I kinda miss the better interior and I do miss more performance tires and AWD.

As mentioned, sales figures are released monthly. You'll be at the end of the list obviously. To find where you would be in the total sales you can just add the month to the prior sales. You can find your car's production number from the VIN. Most people use that, especially since even now some people are buying 2011 demo cars.

Cool another AZ Volt! You will find that if the car is under cover the Eco setting is adequate most days. The Comfort will drive you out of the car with icicles on your nose if run wide open.

Congradulation You re not alone. I'm trading a Mustang Gt Convertible 2002 for a Volt. Also I m expecting that my Acadia 2011 will stay in my driveway until the end of my lease. I waited so many year for an EV I was ready to jump when I saw one at my car dealership.

I traded my 9 mpg BMW M5 for my Volt and I haven't regretted it for a second!

    Hi Dave,
I contacted you recently through the the Wind-Sun forum, asking you about your Volts. You strongly recommended that I drive one, which I did and was sold.
    Thanks, neighbor!

I see that you have enough Solar power to handle your house and both of your Volts. I am just about breaking even this month even with the Volt, which means that I will be buying energy from the power company again the rest of the year (March and April being the best months for solar). Maybe it's time to add some more panels...

Welcome to Volt-dom. Your only problem will be how to stop telling everyone what a great car it is. Have fun with your Volt!

I'm already having that problem! I have bought about 8 new cars in my life, all the way from my first 1970 Volkswagen Beetle through my 2010 Acura MDX. I have never been this excited about a new car.
