I guess Beiber's going to have to dust off the Lambo or whatever kids these days drive.

    Wasn't trying to slight Fisker...

Unfortunately, we're still at a point where any EV having an issue, is basically a black mark on all EVs.
Yeah, ain't fair - but it is what it is.

Seriously, Can Fisker freaking do ANYTHING right?

Not Fisker's fault other than not doing a thorough test-drive on all the cars to trigger the failure which the packs may throw (like Consumer Reports' car did).

A123 has the fault on this not Fisker. We had a thread on A123 issues yesteday.

A123 would have had far less issue if they had built the Fisker systems out of cells made by each welding machine separately instead of homogenizing them as they did from all four welding machines. If one machine spits out tainted cells, then only 25% of packs produced would be trouble. Now they have to replace all of them because they have no idea which need replacement.

Is this the same company that's going to be producing batteries for the upcoming Spark EV? If so, I'm suddenly not as excited about that....

    #6 bonaire,

Well, I think it is fair to point out that GM built a large battery lab and independently tested the s**t out of the batteries on offer before deciding on one for the Volt. I doubt very seriously if Fisker did anything like that.

See #8 as well. I'm confident that GM is going to do a LOT more testing of any batteries it sources than Fisker ever did.
