Default California HOV Green Stickers Received!!

I finally received my green stickers today!! I can now resume enjoying the use and flexibility of the California HOV lanes.

This Volt is truly a fantastic, fun car to drive - I am enjoying the innovative technology, cool design and the freedom to use (or not use) gas. I have previously owned a Honda Civic Hybrid and most recently a Honda Civic GX for the commute and this Volt is hands down, the most luxurious, tech filled car to use the carpool lane!

I kept the license plate off for these pics -but a big thank you to Jake Butts and Ed Nakao at Butts Chevrolet in Seaside/Monterey for making this a smooth, expedited transaction!

I wonder if the CHP is aware of the Volts new found 'freedom' ....?

i am in oklahoma and i received the 2012 i ordered last friday. i just looked under the hood and the emissions sticker says 2012 california ulev certified. does that mean this car would be eligible for this if i were in california?

one other question, were you required to place those stickers on the paint?

Probably not. The carpool certification is "AT-PZEV", ULEV is the older one. You can tell more reliably by looking at the fifth character of your VIN, E/F/G/H is eligible, A/B/C/D is not.

It's required to position the stickers as shown in his picture, can't stick them just anywhere.

I'd love to see a picture of that emissions sticker so that I know what to look for on mine.

See I thought they were supposed to be green. I was at Rydell Chevrolet getting some warranty work done on my volt and they had 3 volts there and all of them had the "white" carpool stickers on them. I'm wondering if the DMV is just making mistakes or what. The white ones are supposed to be just for all electric like the leaf or Cng cars.

wow..... that means the sticker wouldn't be on my car then..... do they think everybody that buys one of these cares more about that than they do the car? after doing custom paint and building show cars, trucks and choppers for 34 years that is just amazing to me. i don't even let people touch the paint on a car or my harley, they are certainly no stickers stuck in arbitrary places..... that amazes me.

the candy red volts aren't light fast, the red tint coat fades away in the sun from the uv rays leaving a terrible looking odd maroon metallic base coat. place those stickers on one of those and remove them in 5 years and there will be a very unpleasant surprise. it will still be candy red and the car won't. you should never place anything on your paint. look at a 5 or 6 year old candy red ford mustang and you will see what i am talking about.

How long from when you bought the car did it take to get them?
