Default "Fill Windshield Wiper Fluid" Message remains after filling wiper fluid

    Love my Volt

Dealer sold me the demo model at a reduced price.
However they filled up the gas tank but not the wiper fluid.
I guess test drivers used it all up

In any event shortly after using the wiper fluid, it ran out and error message came up.

I meant to bring to dealer but too much of a hassle so I used some I had in the garage

Problem solved but Error Message and Vehicle Message remains with something along the lines of
    "Fill windshield wiper fluid".

Anyone else have this and more importantly is there a way to delete this?

    Thanks

    Peace
    Tom

Pressing the select button on the controller on the left on the dash will clear a message. I'm not sure why it didn't reset when you cycled power, unless you didn't add enough fluid?

    Thanks I will try that
I filled it to overflow so should have reset
My VOLT Advisor BTW was not helpful.
Told me to drive to the Dealership to erase the message !
I mean that is crazy every time we run out of wiper fluid we drive to the dealer to delete the message

Under normal circumstances the message should clear immediately after adding even a small amount of fluid (the washer fluid level sensor is mounted near the bottom of the reservoir)
I suspect that the level was very likely not low at all, but instead you likely have an issue with either the level sensor itself or it's wiring/circuit.
This assuming you're certain you've added washer fluid to the correct reservoir on the far left (drivers) side of the car (see this error a few times before where someone adds washer fluid to one of the coolant reservoirs)
You should probably take it to a dealer and have the washer fluid sensor issue checked out.

Thanks for the tip. This would have helped no end earlier this winter when the car would alert me to possible road ice whenever it was below freezing. I couldn't get rid of the alert and get back to the important chore of monitoring my tire pressure :-)
