We have a '12 Volt and a '09 Malibu that is being traded for an '12 Acadia tomorrow. We have 3 kids so the car was getting too small. Not many good options for hauling around a big family. Good thing is we can use the Volt to run the kids around and just use the Acadia for family trips.

    2012 Volt + 2008 HHR

HHR is getting way fewer miles since Patronus materialized in January. HHR gets morning carpool duty -- four kids plus driver don't fit in Volt :-(

Once Daylight Savings Time kicks in, my "other EREV" will come out of waiting, an iZip electric/peddle bicycle. :-)

2011 Green Car of the Year, Chevy Volt, is accompanied by the 2008 Green Car of the Year, Chevy Tahoe Hybrid. We also have a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. As it stands right now, my daughter, who works for Kelloggs, is losing her company car by the end of the year and I am expecting she will (have no choice but to) buy the Highlander Hybrid [I say no choice because she is suffering from bad credit due to a bad, soon-to-be-over marriage]. Of course, since we pretty much forced our son to buy our 2008 Prius, both our adult children will be reasonably prepared for coming gas price hikes.

Since it appears that no one is jumping on a larger plug in any time soon, I am expecting the Volt/Tahoe Hybrid combo will be our driving situation for at least a few years.

Both Volts share the garage with a 2006 Colorado with 16 K miles, the back building has a 2003 Heritage Softail soon to be a trike and a 1983 Willie G Davidson shovel head.

While I don't keep close track I bet our fuel consumption is under $500 a year.

My 2012 Volt shares the garage with a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. It also shares the garage with a Worx Battery powered mower as well as a battery powered edger and trimer, leaf blower, cultivator, 8" chain saw and hedge trimmer. I also have a small electric mantis tiller. All yard work is done on electricity no gas and most of our driving is down with very little gas. Who needs OPEC?

Probably not your aveage Volt owner. Our garage has 3 "V" cars:

    '12 Crystal Red Volt
    '11 Cadillac CTS V Wagon
    '08 Vette Convertible

We like all sorts of cars and like to drive fast at times. The Volt and the Vette are daily drivers.

We have a 1-bay garage (for now) and the Camaro is occupying that space. So the Volt is outside along with a 2011 Honda Insight.

No garage here yet. As soon as I convinced myself that the Volt was going to do it for me, the other cars went (Camaro and Cruze). I'm a one-driver household at present, so the extras were hard to justify as soon as they became obviously extra - which only took a few days with the Volt. I don't miss them.

I also have a truck as the only other on-road vehicle, a 2007 Honda Ridgeline in matching white, which gets very few miles (about 1-2k a year) for when you just have to have a truck or 4wd. Nasty-bad gas mileage on that one, but it's handy when you need it, comfy and sporty - but has yet to break 10k miles. The Volt is going to pass that one real quick.
