Welcome.. your gonna love it. What color?
In addition to checking out the FAQ, you might sign up for voltstats.net it provide tracking of your car's stats (secure) and even provides spreadsheets for download. I found it very useful as I learned to make my commute all EV. (36 miles on most days.. which is easy, but when I run errands 42-48.. more a challenge). Being able to download the data saved me from logging a bunch of stuff by hand and is great for keeping running stats.

Hey, welcome to Voltdom! Your range will increase as you adjust to the new mantra . . . it's not about speed, it's about range. Turn off the climate, put on some gloves, and pray for summer! a

Welcome. Which zip? 30316 here. We have at least 4 over here in my zip.
In the winter, the biggest factor for range is the HVAC settings. If it is very cold and the car is set in comfort, it can drain the entire battery in 90 minutes by itself without moving the car. If you want more range, try other settings - preheat the car before you unplug, use Exo or even fan only and the heated seats.
You'll adapt. Some things to consider if you want more range
Keep the green ball centered.. if it goes up you are accelerating too hard. If it goes down you are decelerating too much. You might try driving in L as that helps with regen compared to friction breaks. (Especially when learning). Learn to "anticipate" stops and regen as you approach. Also Speed can be hard on the range, but of course your commute is something you'll already have down. I also used the phone app and voltstats to help understand which things I did were more efficient. In my case I found some alternative routes that allowed slower speeds on the return which increased the range a little. Would not have guessed they were when I started as they were longer.. but with less lights they were faster and more efficient.
Heat is hard on the battery. Defroster just eats it with both heating and AC.
Then again you might just have fund.
