    Default Timing of safety enhancement?

Does anyone know when the Volt safety enhancements will begin? All I've seen is sometime in February. Anything more specific yet? And will they start at the same time everywhere or roll-out by state or region?

    @ dgruber,

Similar to other customer satisfaction programs, you will be notified when parts are available in your area they can work directly with your dealer to schedule the service when it is convenient for you. There is no specific date yet, but it is still expected to be in February.

Yes, I don't think there can be a definitive date as it depends on the technicians in your area getting trained on the procedures by GM and there's scheduling issues and all kinds of variables that go into that. Expect the roll out of the actual fixes to be dynamic to your own region.

I'm in no hurry. Besides, I'd rather wait until spring when there's no more salt on the undercarriage. I doubt the techs would do what I would do and clean all that before working on upgrade.

If I get into a side pole accident before then and slowly roll the car, I'll just have to somehow remember to get out of the car before 3 weeks are up. Of course, the GM battery discharge team will have arrived well before then, and they would likely make me get out of the car anyway.

No rush from my point of view. I'm gonna get it done, but I really do have mixed emotions about it. The more I see Mr. Issa and his friends in action the more convinced I get that it's all much ado about nothing.
