Default I Need A New Communications Module

Two days ago, I could not communicate with Onstar with my I phone, and assumed it was the website... After a number of prompts to drive the car try again, I did as instructed, went into the car,, and tried to call Onstar... The whole Onstar strip was dead, no green light, nothing lit up. Then it wouldn't recognize my IPhone. brought it to the dealership,, and after much diagnostic testing i was told I need a new communication module... Any one else had a similar problem?

Hopefully it will be an easy fix by the dealer. Good luck.

The part was authorized today by Volt, and should be shipped tomorrow.. The dealer tells me it's an easy fix, the module is located by the brake pedal. I was glad to hear this, I thought they had to go into the panel where Onstar call buttons are located. More to come.

I had the same issues and it was resolved by unpugging and replugging the module back in again. Works on my computers too.

No idea, I was just happy all was fixed. My issue was about a year ago and has not resurfaced, actually the only issue I've had with my Volt.

The unplug of the module is a good tip. If anyone has time, how about a pic of the module if it is easy to ge to?
