Default An odd thing with my windows

    Hello all,

As I walked out to my Volt this morning I noticed that all of my windows were open about halfway, but the doors were locked. The first thing I suspected was that I'd inadvertently leaned on the RKE fob. After raising all of the windows and relocking the doors, I pressed and held the door open button on the fob. The windows opened fully and the doors unlocked.

In the two months I've owned my Volt it has performed flawlessly. Some digging through this forum and the owner's manual haven't revealed anything that would cause this. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    @ VinTC,

This is actually on pg 1-8 of the Owner's Manual:

    The vehicle may have remote
operating windows that will open all
    the windows from outside the
vehicle by pressing and holding Door Unlock button
on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
    transmitter.

If you do not want it however, this feature can be disabled by the dealer.

In summary, your Volt is still working flawlessly!

I'll have to test that with my Volt.

You beat me to it, LOL. Don't they all have minds of their own? I'm sure mine does.

VinTC, Maybe if press-hold fully opens all windows, you pressed and HALF-held. JK.
I'm tending to side with the transformer votes. Volt is, after all, Bumblebee's brother.

Must be a 2012 feature. Mine windows do not do that.

OK. how about a this for a Volt commercial. Have Bumblebee in the middle of a dramatic firefight warding off the bad guys invading the USA (make it obvious it's the USA.. several tattered flags waving behind Bumblebee, etc. Make it a strongly patriotic scene. Powerful dramatic music playing.).
The smoke and debris clears. Camera pans down toward Bumblebee's feet. Parked right behind Bumblebee is the Volt.
Fade out. Tag line follows: Volt does good for you in a quieter way. All-electric for 35 mi (avg); seamlessly continues on with gas powered electric generator, Saving thousands of dollars annually.
