Charge door sensor reads open when closed

Maybe it's just me (or my Volt) but it seems I get the message "Charge Door Open" quite a bit even when it is totally closed. It seems I cannot close it "gently" or I get this message.... anybody else? If I close if quite firmly (almost hard) then it's OK but should the sensor be this sensitive?

Same thing happened to my Volt. The tech tried to adjust it but GM finally ordered a replacement door assembly. Problem solved.

Yes, you need a replacement door assembly. Known issue with early build cars. I had mine replaced, and it's been fine ever since.
