The Engine Compartment fuse block has quite a number of unused or empty fuse slots. Does anyone know which may be powered when the ignition is switched on? I want to power an accessory this way -- on when the ignition is on, off when off.

check with a volt/ohm meter. Power off- no reading, power on -reading 12 v is the one you want.

Make sure you use a proper fuse for the circuit you decide on. We don't need any more Volt electrical fires!
Mini fuse position # 3 is shown as "not used" but can be tapped by using a mini fuse "add a circuit" fuse holder (available at most auto accessory stores) and is switched on with the ignition. However, I had to drill a small hole in the edge of the fuse box to snake the lead out to connect to the auxillary led lights I am adding. Be sure to seal the hole to insure no moisture enters the fuse block. Good Luck!
