Does anyone know or has anyone heard if they are planning on porting the app over for windows phone users?

I have been hoping and waiting for this also... the new Windows Phones are amazing, best mobile OS I have used, and I'm an IT guy. Last I heard, they were unofficially working on it... no ETA yet.

The best thing to do is to make sure you let Chevrolet and OnStar know that's what you want.
The more they are aware of actual customers waiting for app support on their mobile phone platform, the more resources will be allocated to making it happen. Nothing greases the wheels of corporate resource allocation like a manager inside the company being able to say to their boss "Yes, we need to do this, because we had X calls in the past month from actual vehicle owners asking for it."
This isn't just for OnStar, of course. This applies to any mobile app vendor in the market - they will go where there are customers. The more people who contact them asking for an app for their phone platform, the more likely the app will happen.
I plan to ask for this myself when I set up OnStar for my own Volt. (ETA 1-2 months...)
I let my Volt advisor know and am still awaiting a call back from OnStar since the MyVolt.com site doesn't work well with Windows Phone either which is kind of ridiculous since without an app that would be the not very convenient work around. When I get that call I'll poke at them some more about an app.
ChuckB (and any others) have you found the MyVolt.com site to work fine on your phone? Specifically remote start or anything else that requires you to enter a PIN?

You know what... I had only gone to the site to see that I could get to it... and see the charge status, etc. I had never tried to do a remote start. I honestly have only done it from home when I am within range with the keyfob. I can try to do it, but trying to enter the pin doesn't work, it skips the first number, jumps to the 2nd, the just generally doesn't work right. Yeah, GM, where's our WP7 app!

I am running the Mango release of WP7 and from a web browser it appears that I can interact with the car. I agree they definately need to get a WP app. Of course. I work for Microsoft... and think that all apps should be ported over.
Odd that the myvolt.com site does not work on WP7.. I've tested it on at least 7 different browsers other platforms and not had a problem. Maybe the WP7 is not doing compliant rendering or handeling of Javascript. Don't blame GM, blame MS.
Windows phone is not even 2% of the market, down from about 3% last year
I hope GM is focusing on other things.

@dewain - I'm also running Mango - and I agree that the site looks like its working as well as in a browser... but try to tell the car to remote start... you have to enter in your PIN, and that's what doesn't work.

Do you want me to find a Prius sales vs. Volt sales chart and then say that clearly, as this chart suggests, Volt sales are insignificant and thus should be ignored? Clearly you have never used the new Windows phone... they are the best mobile OS out there. And I don't work for Microsoft, but I am an IT guy. After letting my coworkers play with my phone... 2 of them have switched and now have Windows Phones.
All that being said... it really shouldn't be difficult to port it over to WP7... get to it GM!

What UAString does the WinMob 7 browser send? My Android Galaxy 10.1 tablet browser doesn't work with MyVolt.com out of the box with the Android UAString, so I have to change it from the debug options to send a "Desktop" UAString (and I'll just grumble that I can't use the Android RemoteLink app either since it's not supported on tablets).
Is there a way to trick the MS browser so that it can work with MyVolt?
