Default I canceled my 3 free years of OnStar, has anyone had problems with an EVO 3D cell

I canceled my 3 free years of OnStar (for a few minutes) due to EVO 3D cell issue

The technical person ticked me off when she told me the features (remote start) in my phone are not supposed to work with my car. I said what about all the other features that don't work like charge , range, unlock, lock horn etc.

I haven't been able to get my Sprint EVO 3D cell phone to link with my car and was so frustrated after spending 1 & 1/2 hours on the phone I canceled my free OnStar. They finally switched me to the head of the department, which is what I wanted and after 15 more minutes I un-canceled OnStar. This guy assured me he was going to give my problem his personal attention.

Has anyone else had problems with a Sprint EVO 3D phone

I don't have the phone mentioned, so I can't help there, but can you see the car with myvolt.com?

Remember, there are three pieces to the linkage - the car talks through a cell modem to the internet and hence Onstar's servers, your phone talks through a cell modem to the Internet and Onstar's server, and whatever onstar does on their servers to marry the two.

Figuring out if tge car shows up in myvolt will give you an idea of where your problem is (car to server or app to server.)

I had to wait a day or two for the back end to be set up, which they told me when I signed up for myvolt/Onstar web services.

I got the car Tuesday 11/15/11 and complained the phone app would not work, the told me it would be working by 7 AM the next day. I called back and complained and was promised it would be working by Friday or Saturday the latest. I call Friday with no luck and I called Saturday and was given a runaround on the phone for an hour and a half. The head guy promised to call Monday, time will tell.

Sounds frustrating. Have you tried logging into myvolt.com?

I have an EVO 3D and it linked up and works great. No problems. Mine is with Rogers (Canada). I use the onstar app almost every day without an issue. Have you tried unistalling and re-installing the app? ( I know that sounds like a lame tech support suggestion, but sometimes it actually works!)

Ive got the regular EVO, not the 3D, and it works fine as well. The only issue mine has is it doesnt populate the volts contact list with my contacts.

I think I know what the problem is, I walked out to my car and checked the vin on the car, it does not match the VIN on my Volt. That explains why the charge level has been changing, I have been getting information on another car.
