thanks for clearing that up, guys. So I also should not use MM for driving for highway driving when I know I can't get home on electric only?
At least once a month, I am disappointed to get into my Volt and find that I forgot to plug in the charging cable the day before. This morning I find an estimated 4 miles of electric range left. My...
L kills speed too. I bet the mileage gain would have been more had you coasted in D, L to brake only when needed.
I guess you're lucky where you live. There's only one charger in my area and I'm not going to spend 8 hours at McDonalds.
I disagree. The L mode does have an affect on the acceleration. It doesn't necessarily increase available acceleration but changes the pedal mapping to where you will accelerate more for a set...
while L does provide more regen than coast or braking, that does not mean that it's more efficient! Doesn't coasting result in a higher speed at the end of a comparable distance traveled than using...
so your saying that you don't say any brake pads by using L period : )
there's no reason why you can't save the brake pads just as much by driving in D and braking in L. Just have to know when to throttle, coast, switch to L.
that's just what L drivers use to rationalize their driving style
your title is kind of misleading. It should be a question, not a statement. I clicked thinking that it was about owners actually being harassed/confronted not if anyone has been...
that's not actually true. I've traded in numerous cars(all leased) for another lease in Texas. In most cases, the trade in value was at or below what I owed on the lease. But the sales tax paid...
The rule goes that you should never put money down on a lease You don't get the down payment back if for some reason you totaled the car during the lease.
Everything's working fine now, though I'm afraid to plug another usb drive in
Thanks for the tip. I'll try that. I only used an 8gb drive with about a dozen songs on it. I called the Volt Advisor and he recommended trying to restart the car after making sure the keyfob is...
This morning driving to work, I noticed that there was a 30secs to 1min lag for any input to the center console system(audio, climate, energy display etc). Trying turning the car off and on, still...
I find myself driving a lot slower in the Volt compared to my previous cars because of the constant EV range display and the desire to preserve range and save money(pennies really). I have given up...
I don't think the OP question was regarding 50 miles per charge(which many people get reguarly), but rather MPG in CS mode.
this topic has been discussed thoroughly already in prior threads. Also cavitation is a term reserved for liquids.

is that supposed to be limerick?
