Absolutely love the miniseries.
EVs tend to do very well in traffic jams as you all know. However, running out of fuel, either electrons or gas is a very bad thing in that type of weather.
People also die due to carbon monoxide...
Right, I got that.
What I am curious about is why all of the reviews except one have said the engine is noisy. While the one reviewer that spent more than 30 minutes with the car reports it as...
I agree there is no point bothering with ELR bashing.
I DO feel there is a lot of value looking at reviews that are objective.
The performance numbers are objective. Obviously the ELR is not a...
GM has no one to blame than themselves for the comparisons.
First they announce a 200 mile EV 'sometime' and then in an interview with the Detroit Times...“If you want to compete head-to-head with...
First, I am guessing you have no problem people posting repeatedly good reviews or rewards even though we already know the Volt is a great car. I don't see any problem posting poor reviews.
I would be very shocked if GM was completely reliant on one technology or supplier.
Actually that was some great information.
I very much appreciate their line about barely being able to hear the gasoline engine. Most of what I've heard before has been that everybody can hear it...
No doubt. However, 1.1 kWh is a lot less than 3 kWh. Improvement is a good thing.
1100Wh is just a bit higher than what a Comcast cable box takes per day (840Wh while off).
We had no issues with ours all last winter. There is a video of cold weather testing in which they purposely covered the doors/handles in ice (I would guess about a quarter inch). Door handles...
Oh, the car is never going to be as efficient as a smaller EV such as the Volt or Leaf.
It is simply designed to be far more efficient than any other luxury sedan.
Frankly, I think the handles...
There is a natural tendency to, subconsciously or consciously, feel our driving patterns are the norm.
GM did a great job pegging the AER to cover the majority of statistics daily commutes.
Likewise, I would take WOT's opinion over some reviewer.
However, unless they truly are just parroting each other, the number of reviews bringing this up is concerning.
I was actually wondering the same thing. Sound is a funny thing. I am wondering if during the transition to the ICE the noise cancelling tech actually augments the sound rather than dampen it.
Awesome, thanks for the link.
I have long wanted our solar array to be able to act as backup in case of power loss without needing to disconnect from the grid.
Love the concept and would be...
I owned both at one time. It is a wonderful combination for lots of people. Actually, come to think of it, a friend of mine who lives a couple miles south of me currently owns one of each.
I would not word it that way. The Leaf is also a "true replacement of a conventional car", for those whose needs are met by the Leaf's range.
It is all about the right tool for the right job.
Interesting 24 hour test.
Car parked, unplugged in an insulated but unheated garage. Outdoor temps ranging from 20-45.
While checking hourly the range dropped 1 mile over 6 hours, 2 over 7.
Dave, I understand you are upset. It sucks to have Thanksgiving plans ruined.
However, take a step back and stop attacking people.
If this service bulletin didn't trigger a call or email from...
Sorry that bug impacted you.
Very much doubt this will impact anybody that has gone past the warranty. As it supposed to be corrected for any anytime you're in for service.
It also sounds as if it...
