I get it. What a perfect way to fake out voltstats. Think of it - the quickest way to charge the volt is via the on board generator. So you start off with full charge. Drive till battery depleted. ...
I have three kids and we have harsh winters. We ditched the Ford Expedition for a Volt with no regrets. Sure it took a bit to adjust but I have no issues lugging the hockey equipment or driving...
I always thought the reason my Volt didn't have brake dust was because of regen braking but it seems based on this article it is partially due to FNC coating developed by GM and for which the Volt...
You have Valerie Boatman to thank for the stability

But seriously, in addition to visiting times square in my Volt, when I was in NYC a few weeks ago, I took the kids via subway to walk the Brooklin...
Hi all - I dropped the price to 800 bucks.
I'm selling my snow tires (16" steelies with tires and tire pressure sensors) asking $200 each ($800). I put about 5000 kms on them last winter. PM me...
I've had my Volt for a year and only get crazy positive feedback at least two to three times a week. And guess what...this extends to all my trips to the U.S. Not one single negative comment. Not...
There is no reason why we can't have more than one option. To me all the GM needs to do to have a smash hit on their hands is lower the price, 5 person seating, faster charging. Why not a bigger...
thanks for this and keep posting. You are so fortunate - a Volt and a Tesla S! Can't get any better than that!
you will adjust. i never even look at my green ball. I find the info available really helpful. But now we know why Tesla has gone the way they have. Trust me when I say the Model S screen is...
there is no reason why Volt 2.0 shouldn't have all of these
I think we need 6.6kw charging and not to offer this is a mistake. I think many Volt owners don't understand the value this offers especially in terms of using the public charging infrastructure...

I've heard back at all levels from GM and they say it is more than just a software change. Needs hardware. But whatever guess I will live with it unless we can get that thread with the hack going. ...
great to have you on board! here is link to Canadian thread.

I'm a bit confused by the fact you have a 2011 model as they were not offered for sale in Canada. I think only one or two of them were imported into Canada from the U.S. An easy way to tell is if...
Here in Canada I was down to 22-25 miles on a really cold bad day where I had to crank the heater. We see -13 degrees Fahrenheit here on a regular basis tho. At around 23 degrees Fahrenheit you be...
Welcome to the forum. I have to say that was one of the more entertaining posts I've seen in a while. Good to see the same kind of excitement and enthusiasm continues well after launch date!
You want to make sure you adjust your settings in the config menu to "very cold" and the setting that ensures the engine doesnt while plugged in. I don't have this on my 2012 Volt so you are lucky.
