Understand. I think a big announcement on expansion of the supercharging network is coming from Tesla and Elon Musk presently
I'm just amazed that Volt owners would go out of their way to knock the Tesla, as many have done on this thread. We should be cheering Tesla on. Don't we want to see all reasonable alternatives to...
You made that trip that long in a car? Why not fly?
Yes. And my S2000 was bought by someone in British Columbia. He flew out here and drove it 3,000 miles home.
This is by far the most expensive car I will have owned, but I also sold some assets to make it possible: an extensive HO scale model railroad collection with a lot of brass locomotives that are no...
Looks are a subjective judgement. I've seen all the photos of the ELR, and it's attractive in a GM slab-style Cadillac kind of way, but I prefer the design of the Tesla. But that's my judgment.
My HOA does not own the roof or any part of the house. Solar City is doing the install and they've arranged all of the approvals, including the HOA. I'm not putting up a cent of capital. ...
I've built a new one for the Tesla. See this thread on the Tesla site.
If the law won't help, some vigilante action might:) May I dare suggest that a well-placed ice-pick with a note on the windshield might break some ICE drivers of this bad habit:)
With delivery of my Tesla Model S only about 10 days away, I will be parting with my Volt very soon. As I do, I wanted to pay tribute to GM for designing and building such an extraordinary vehicle. ...
Why is it that we have to knock innovative people like Musk and their products? Tesla's success will help the entire EV and BHEV community. We all should be cheering for Musk, as he's determined...

This is not a fair comparison but I'll take it up anyway. I'm giving up my Volt for an 85kwH Model S, and I'm a devoted Volt lover. I have no concerns about range, as some on this thread have...
Thanks all. It probably was an accidental fob thing. I should be able to air out the car over the next few days with no damage done.
Last night we had a heavy pouring rain all night. This morning, with the downpour still raging, when I took my dog out for her morning walk I was shocked to find all of the windows in my Volt fully...
I charge my Volt with an EVSE upgrade plugged into a 50 amp 14-50 with an adapter. It's all set up for the arrive of my Model S in April but it work fine with the Volt.
Was't Whitakre the boob who led GM to collapse, and the fool who flew to Washington in the corporate jet to testify before Congress when they were considering bailing GM out? He may have been a CEO...
If you take the value of your time and the cost of stuff to do this you probably could by a Tesla Model S P85 and be done with it:)
Here's a very interesting story on the superiority of Tesla's battery design. Regrettably, this article points out that the Volt battery is more like those in the Boeing 747: ...
