Well, he is a "high-altitude" guy- that may make a big temperature an humidity difference, and from what I read here elsewhere here on the forum, both of those conditions are big factors.
FWIW, I...
40 MPG in ICE mode is the best I have ever done too. (And in temperate weather, I can pretty routinely hit 50 miles in CSM- my personal best is 55.4 miles).
Interesting- I have never heard the bit about NOT using the "Jaws of Life" with the Volt. Maybe there is something to that part of the story. But as to the five electrocutions of firemen by Volts-...
Well, sorry I lost track of this thread that I started for a bit.
In response to the questions/insinuations above:
-I was writing a "comment" response to another "comment" response to an...
I my estimation, the biggest source of misinformation never was on the Internet- was (is) Fixed News on TV.
But the DIS-information about the Volt is pervasive- over ALL media. And it runs the...
I think that is must be a fluke- perhaps because of some combination of things as you described.
Nearly a year and 7000 miles later, I have never seen it again.
Overall, my Volt is the most...
Actually I replaced an Isuzu Trooper with my Volt. I am saving $2K/year in fuel costs, even with the electricity factored in (90% or more of my driving is local- I don't commute).
I think fuzzy...
You know, I agree. But I am not really trying to convince the guy who posted the anti-Volt, anti-green rant. For all I know he is being paid by Shell or Mobil to troll around anywhere there are...
BTW- I forgot to second VikAiRious's suggestion for the "short form" USB drive. I have broken a longer one that was plugged in to my Volt when getting stuff in an out of console. The little guys are...
Is there a size limit on USB sticks that will work in the Volt? I can't recall.
In my last car, the radio/tainment system could not handle flash drives over 1GB.
Looks like it is sold-out already....It disappeared from my shopping cart when I tried to check out with a message about "insufficient quantitites".
I posted a response to a guy who had commented on an article about Volt owners exceeding EPA fuel economy estimates. The article was published here:

I can't download or view it either.
Yeah- VERY fancy math. We may have to publish reliability ratings for CR's math.
Here is the fine print for the chart:
The October, 2012 CR Reliability chart is attached as a PDF.
Meaningful? Meaningless? That's up to you.
They mention the Volt several times:
But despite the quotes above and the fact...
So does that mean that you should always keep your gas tank in your Volt full?
I generally only keep 100 to 200 miles of gas in the car at any given time to reduce weight and keep a little bit...
The Politifact "fact checker" article referenced above also says:
Like another person reported here, my wife actually feels LESS carsickness in my Volt than she did in any of our ICE cars. She always comments on the smooth and quiet ride and often naps on longer...
Here is the reply on this topic I received after e-mailing my Volt Advisor:
For what it's worth, I just emailed my Volt Adviser and registered my dissatisfaction. I also indicated that I have referred potential new Volt owners to the site, and that it is extremely useful for...
