Wow.
He is probably the coolest person I have ever met. He is a major gear head, not just crazy about cars but anything that moves.
You're new here aren't you?
Interesting to see where ACEEE gets its funding from:

I see a WHOLE lot of gas/petroleum companies on there...
Well, at least according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy.
CNN money article.
Spoiler, the Volt comes in at #12.
In the words of Bob Lutz, "That's a crock of ****!"
Any tint in general will reduce the heat coming into the car. A gray tint will reduce the glare, and reduce the brightness. Most tints already block about 99% of UV radiation, but you can try and...
Not to mention 3Phase induction motors are better suited to contiuous use and can sustain higher rpm ranges because of no physical contacts.
I was wondering the same thing as well. When I downloaded the current fuel economy charts they didn't have either listed. But I just guessed they hadn't enough data.

When I asked...
Putting more battery in the Volt is wasteful, to get 100 miles they would have to double or triple the size of the pack. GM made a good call to put a battery in that covers most daily trips.

Hey guys,
By now most of you are aware I do a little bit of photo-shopping. So I thought I should just make a thread to post all the different colors I have been making.
So I will just put up...
Just adding more Blue Volts, this one is stock with exception of the color.

Same one except Valance is...
I've always been a big fan of painting the lower valance. I like your idea of just painting the interior or the grill, I'll have to explore that.
But I made a quick photo with painted valance,...
