I never seen public housing? I have a BIG advantage over you....,I worked there as a telephone man...and I got to see and hear tons more than you ever will. I've been propositioned more than once by prostitutes living in public housing when dispatched to their apartments. One said the following..'all I've ever done is whoring and selling weed'...while she collected a gov't check every month. PARASITES.

And as far as how 'hard' I worked....did YOU ever put in 16 hour days in Charleston, SC in July/August with temps past 100 and 95% humidity and hook 40 or 50 poles a day pulling 'c' wire and 'b' wire on Johns Island? I seriously doubt you did. Oh, I forgot to mention the 6 foot cotton Mouth, and 8 and 10 foot Eastern Diamondbacks. And the 12 foot gators.

The working poor need to get an education, develop job skills so they can demand more than minimum wage...which was never intended to be a living wage.

Sell that crap in the ghetto to get their vote. It doesn't play in middle America.

Is THAT clear enough for you or is the pollution up in Chicago so bad now that you cannot see the monitor.
When The Springer Show you love so much was in production it was shot in Chicago. The people on the show were paid actors you Ignorant Idiot.

Also, when I had a remodeling job at my home a few summers ago a man named Terelle worked 16 hours per day during 100 degree heat stretches. He did it 6 weeks straight until the job was done. His pay was no where near as much as a phone company employee. He didn't have benefits and vacation time. From what I know about him his life was consumed with work.

He did not go home because he lived too far to be able to get back the next day so he stayed over night at the job site. While you went home to your air conditioning he didn't have any air conditioning at all, all day and all night.

Based on what you described about your work I would say this man works harder than you by what you folks down yonder down south there call a "country mile".

Mister, the PARASITES are the politicians you vote for that spend Trillions paying for US troops in Germany, Japan, Korea, and countless other places. Those countries are also the PARASITES as I see it. The politician you vote for get kick backs in the form of campaign contributions.

But you don't care about that though. You've focused your attention on the poor and uneducated blacks. People like Terelle. All while the true PARASITES are robbing this country blind.

The blacks, from what I read, see the Ferguson City government as PARASITES. I am basing this on what I read about how the government there acted as PARASITES feeding on the blacks to rise money.

So see, It really just comes down to your perspective.

Oh, stop watching Jerry Springer. Everyone knows that they are all paid actors. Jerry Springer stories are not real Stupid. It's all ENTERTAINMENT.

What they don't realize is, given what I've seen over the 55 years of following politics in America, should this continue....a revolution is coming and I don't mean that euphemistically....I truly believe another 1776 will happen by mid century. The working people of this country are about fed up with 5 generations of lazy bums living off our hard earned money. Go visit some new public housing and tell me YOU grew up in a better house.....unless your parents were doctors, lawyers, successful business owners you most likely didn't. Kids I grew up with parents were missile guidance engineers at Bell Labs and they didn't have houses in the 1960's that were as nice as the new 'poverty' housing we provide for parasites.
What part of "credit that wasn't available in 2008/9" are you missing here?

I'm quite certain that GM would have failed if they tried that, because the financial industry was running scared and no one would have given GM enough money to work with.

Unfortunately I'm not convinced you're wrong about the revolution part. Those tend to be messy, bloody events where lots of people die horrible deaths. I'm trying to balance common sense with paranoia on the subject - actually one of the (many) reasons I bought the Volt originally.

Hating GM and wanting them to fail (many have this position) is a childish position to take. And all those who blame this strategy on Obama need to go back and check some headlines, it was actually Bush that started the GM bail out program (Bush also was the one to sign into law the $7500 EV tax credit) yet Obama mobile seems to be what people think about the Volt. The Volt was designed and built years before Obama took office.
Mind quoting where I said I wanted GM to fail? They would NOT have failed. And then they could have thumbed their noses at the gov't. And where did I call the Volt an Obamamobile? And were did I mention the tax credit? THAT started with the Prius if my memory is serving me well today.

I said they didn't have the BALLS to do it...and they didn't.

FYI, public housing accounts for a tiny roach crumb of the federal budget. You seem to be saying this tiny roach crumb is the cause of everything that's wrong with this country.

Being an American you do have a choice. You can choose to hate the working poor. They actually do work harder than you likely do however they get paid $8 per hour.

You have a choice as an American to prey on these working poor people and you can consider them the root of all evil that should be stamped out similar to what news reports are saying happened in Ferguson.

I think different from that. Whatever problems we have here are not due to a tiny crumb of the federal budget. Its something more.

It has never occurred to me before however now I wonder if Republicans buy Volts.

If not too much trouble, and also if you are a Volt owner or strongly considering one, can readers of this thread indicate if you are a Democrat or Republican.

    Thanks.

So why don't GOP politicians embrace an American car with advanced technology that lessens dependance of oil, one that many Republicans embrace as their daily car? Obama sat it one, lol.
