Hi Toasty... I also have a 2005 Prius... also had a 2008, which we traded for a 2010 and , now have traded it on a 2012 Camry Hybrid.

I am considering leasing a Volt and wondered how you feel about yours. As your perspective is of interest as we have owned similar vehicles in the past. (I actually still have the 2005 although my son lost his job and I loaned it to him 2 years ago...).

I have been on medical disability due to cancer, but I think I will be returning to work in the next couple of months. My commute to and from work I think will work out to be within the Volt's electric range. Have not measured it to be sure. When I go to work I drive to the airport and then leave town for 3 or 4 days... does the Volt lose much of its charge just sitting out in a parking lot?

How does heat affect the Volt and its range? (the car will be in Las Vegas, NV)
