Just a data point for folks....

Had my first Volt error this last weekend on my wifes Volt (we have 2!...:)...). Volt is a 2011, but very new with ~4300 miles.
While driving on highway (3 hours from home), on the ICE (after draining battery), we got an 'engine warning light' followed by an error message stating 'AC Off Due to High Engine Temp'. Sounded kinda scary....
I hit the onstar button and they told me I had a 'engine temperature' problem and that I needed to get service within 7 days. I asked for the exact error codes and they were P0128 and P2181.
So...I did check the engine coolant levels and they seemed fine...so we continued our drive home, and made it home with no issue.
I did a search here on the forums and found ONE other occurrence of the same codes, which ended up being a 'failed thermostat'. So...took the car in on Monday and sure enough...failed thermostat. Got the car back on Tuesday and all is good.

Still LUV the Volt! Was reminder how much when I drove the rental ICE car for 2 days....(really noticed jerky gear changes and 'lag' on gas pedal response...)

I get the error message every couple days over the past few weeks. Sometimes it'll stay on for a day, sometimes just a few minutes. In all instances, the driver rear tire shows a blank for the tire pressure.

I've read that on 2013's I can't re-program the sensor without a special tool. So I'm going to have to take it to the dealer. Anyone know what the problem might be. It seems to get a reading, so I wouln't think its a programming thing anyway.

I haven't gotten around to taking it to the dealer yet. I've already had it in for 3 other trivial issues in the 3 months I've had the car. I guess this is April's issue.

Anyone else have this intermittent problem?

Hey guys and thanks in advance for your help. I have had intermittent issues with the charging port door being stuck. Lately though the door only cracks open a small amount and I have to use something to open it. This happened last night and this morning I got a CEL. I called onstar and got two codes
1. P0CD2
2.PIE00

One has to do with the charging door and the other one is some abnormal electrical system issue. The person stated to take it in at my convenience. After I parked I opened and closed the once again stuck oor and now the CEL is off.
My question is generally how long does it take to fi this problem. Is it something that the dealership has on hand or is it going to take weeks.

Thanks

Purchased '12 Volt last July, installed SPX Voltec 240v Charger in September.

Flawless since then, except about 5 months ago my Volt would chirp 3 or 4 times over the course of a charging cycle when connected to the SPX. I also connect it to a 240v charger at work, but am unable to monitor it so I'm not sure if it was happening then. A cursory internet search led me to believe this wasn't anything to worry about.

Over the past week or two the chirping became more and more frequent (to maybe a dozen chirps per charge), culminating in Friday night when it chirped every 3 minutes or so for about two hours, then stopped. The car has always charged successfully regardless of chirping frequency.

Saturday morning I take the car out -- check engine light comes on. OnStar says it's code P0D26. I have an appointment to take it in Tuesday. I stopped connecting it to the 240v charger in favor of the 120v charger the car came with and it is no longer chirping. Drove it almost an entire charge last night with no issues, and it charged overnight with no issues on 120v. The light is still on as of this morning.

Is this a serious problem? Should I be suspecting an issue with the SPX 240v charger? Will taking it in to the dealer be a waste of time?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
