: Took a demo home for the night and more to come!!
dj dannis 11-09-2011, 02:31 PM Hey guys, just wanted to share my excitement as my dealer was kind enough to let me take their demo home for a night and take it to work for a day. Let me tell you, I LOVED every minute of it!! Any owners know what I'm talking about when I say it's almost too much to put into words :) Anyways, I have a family event in Chicago this weekend and the dealer is letting me have the demo again Thursday night through Monday night. Can't wait to play around with it more!! I definitely did not want to take it back to the dealer lol. Well, sorry to burn a thread just for this, but it was too cool of an experience to not share with all of you. Not to mention, I've been a geek on this car since GM made the decision to actually make this vehicle happen. Then to see it in my garage leaves me almost speechless. It's unreal. But GM made it happen.
I have a Red w/Lt. Neutral Int, fully loaded on order with a TPW of next week!! Can't wait to officially be part of the family. Love these forums and all of the cool, other Volt geeks that make it what it is ;)

Steverino 11-09-2011, 03:13 PM Enjoy the car, all it usually takes is a test drive, haha. Durand? You are practically a Cheese head!
You have a poured concrete wall in your garage? And a convenient electric panel I see!

Chevrolet Customer Svc 11-09-2011, 03:45 PM @ dj dannis,
Excellent, glad you like it so far! Tell us how your weekend with the Volt goes. We can't wait to have you a part of the Volt family!
gieso 11-09-2011, 04:10 PM You have had a taste and now you are hooked.
I predict you will have one ordered shortly after your weekend.
If you like the Demo that the dealer is letting you use, maybe they will just sell you that one. GM has now authorized dealers to sell their demos. It might be worth it to ask. They might even knock off some $$$ since it is a demo.
Have fun.
wainair 11-09-2011, 04:17 PM The more I drive the car the more I like it. I've had mine for a little over a month now and I still look forward to getting in and going for a drive! Even if that drive is going to work and that's saying something!!
Top_Speed1 11-09-2011, 04:39 PM You have a 240v charging station already? You must have planned on getting one I'm assuming.

Drathen 11-09-2011, 08:45 PM How did you get to take the demo home? Did you request it or did the dealer offer it to you? I've been to my dealer twice now, once to test drive a Volt and a second time to check out the car again and start talking numbers. I'm obviously seriously interested in getting a Volt and I'm surprised my dealer didn't offer to lend me their demo for a day or two.
ClarksonCote 11-09-2011, 09:40 PM Looks like the 240V charging station has a black cord now instead of orange. I wonder why the subtle change, and if any other electrical modifications may have been made to this latest charger version?
Enjoy your Volt-weekend!

I still find excuses to drive the car somewhere!

Just ask nicely. :)
I have my old car up for sale this week. If I sell it early, I'm going to try to finagle a deal for a loaner/demo until my 2012 arrives.

I'll have to give it a try.
I just put my car up for sale yesterday though I may end up trading it in at the dealer.
