Chevy Equinox drive test and review:

Good article - also lists other competing fuel cell vehicles. Don't know why they are using NiMH batteries, as they add too much weight, but those will get changed out eventually.

I've had a chance to drive it as well, and had the chance to floor it and feel the torque in action, which made the 0-60 time feel a lot less than the reported number.
Overall though, assuming that fuel cells have a future, the Eqinox is the older approach of a fully throttle cell—more recent ones use a larger battery pack and a smaller fuel cell running at a more stable power output.
The NiMi battery is likely a better approach for the Equinox, given that it is only used for regen breaking, and as such the DOD is very shallow.

Wow, so many opinions here and check all these videos are the same when it comes to commenting on the reliability of the domestic vehicle. If someone wants the truth, ask a professional mechanic for equitable relief and may be surprised to see that all cars are pretty much the same way that reliability goes.

I would love to see a Voltec Equinox.
