I just found my car on cars.com!
My VIN, my dealer. Shows "for sale" Ha!

The car is actually still in status B400, bayed for shipping.
No wonder the Volts for sale counts are wacky on that site!

That's seems right, I went to my dealers website and cars.com weeks ago and found my dealer with two Volts and meanwhile telling me he had none. He then explained that incoming vehicles sold to customers were in their inventory and automatically showing up on their site and Cars.com... This is the reason... Therefore Demo's and incoming dealer allocations will all at some point show up on cars.com if that dealer is affiliated with cars.com

Dealer reasoning: "they might back out of the order." Until wheels hit pavement, no car is "sold" :-)

The only cars I trust on cars.com for Volts are used demonstrators. The rest are probably locked-up demos or customer orders. It's silly.

Oh no, I get all that. Things is that this site is used by some to illustrate how many Volts are just "sitting" on lots not selling.
I knew about the demos but when you have dozens of cars sitting in transit for weeks that throws it off so much more!

I think someone in the media should do a report on how people in the media write incorrect or highly-misleading statistics as "fact". That'll never happen, eh?
