Press the orange button. The bar graph will show a lower setting.

The unit must not be plugged into the car.

Uplug from car, then push the button (area below LEDs) on the charger.. it should reset and show only 2 leds rather than 4. That is lower charge setting. I use it when I've used an extension cord (and had the time) to reduce draw to keep things from over heating and to ensure it would not pop a shared breaker. (At home I have a dedicated one).

Have you guys compared charging time using 8amp vs 12amp?

Only used 8amp twice Full charge (depleted to min SOC) to full was 13hrs. (It said 14, but finished in 13)
My normal charge (different outlet/source) is 8.5hrs-9hrs (says 9-10 but finishes faster, depending on temp)

Thanks. That would seem to make logical sense and that ratios work out.

12amp/8amp = 1.50 ratio so (09.0hrs@12amp * 1.50) = 13.5 hrs@8amp
8amp/12amp = 0.66 ratio so (13.5hrs@08amp * 0.66) = 09.0 hrs@12amp

The Volt has its own on-board digital computer. So it must be doing those ratios correctly!
