I placed a deposit on 8/8 and I've been sitting at (1100) waiting for my dealership (Paul Conte) in NY to receive allocation. I've been told that I should get the vehicle in late October/early November but I've been wary for a while. This is due to the fact that the Volt will now be available to the rest of the U.S., Canada, and Europe (Ampera). Do any of you think that I may still get the Volt before the end of the year despite my late deposit? Any reassurance will be comforting!
Thanks!
No doubt your dealer will get an allocation which will result in a car arriving before 2012. The question is always whether the dealer will use the allocation for you. If you're comfortable that the dealer will use its first allocation for your car then you can relax.

I placed my deposit on 8/12 at an Illinois dealership, and I am already at 3300 Scheduled into plan build cycle with an estimated TPW of 09/12.

I placed my deposit at the end of May, went to 3400 in production cycle, TPW 8/15, still no car ( not even produced). I am patient and waiting. I live in Florida and had to order it in NY. So I wait, wait and wait but I am not giving up

Beware of Paul Conte. When I went there one day they gave me a good lease rate and the next day they added $5000 to the MSRP. I believe I have copies of emails if you want to see them.

Really? Originally I was going to go to Robert Chevrolet but some of the salesman were trying to give me the runaround with finance rates so I'm just going to go with a credit union for a loan. However, this morning I awoke to an e-mail where Paul Conte says that they have 1 Volt allocation for the week of Sept 1 so now I am no longer worried! =D.

FYI...
I placed my order in the middle of July and I am still awaiting an allotment. Getting a bit frustrating. I too am beginning to worry about takeing delivery by the end of the year. I could really use that tax credit in this years tax return.
Dan
Dan, you might want to contact the Volt Advisors. At this point delivery by the end of the year seems to be more than reasonable but you don't have forever. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a dealer with an allocation in your area.
