I signed up for a GM card a few months ago and have already racked up around $400 of rebate. Looking at the other Chevy rebates, I'm guessing $1000 (hoping for $1500+). What do you think the 2012 Volt rebate will be?

$1000 is probably a good guess. I am in the grandfathered program, so the question does not apply for me. I can only accumulate 500 dollars in rebate per year. However, the entire amount accumulated can be used towards any eligible vehicle. You should just call the gm card earnings people and ask your question.

And the old progam limits it to 3500 = 500 x 7yrs before it starts rolling over. I waiting to use up my 3500 now..but also losing 500 a year til the right car comes along....and if your lucky, GM is sending out summaries of my statement and throwing in an extra 500 on top not including your best deal negotiated and promos they have going on thru the dealership. Maybe I can get 11k off my first 2012 volt!

The old program limits you to 7 CALENDAR years- and it goes MONTH TO MONTH (you lose rebate over 7 years old with each monthly statement). It is conceivable to have MORE than $3500, depending on when you earned your rebate during the calendar years.
