That would be the Altairnano battery. I pretty sure GM checked them out already. Probably a little too pricey for them.
Lightning Car company should have an announcement about their car pretty soon, btw.

Yeah, we've seen it. It's gorgeous and expensive and like most of these types of cars, purely virtual. When I see a dealership with units on the lot, then I'll believe it.

The Lightening features a "Programmable external engine sound generator." I wonder if it can be made to sound like a Harley or a Porsche or a train?

I've never heard of any electric car costing anywhere near that much. Even the Venturi Fetish is somewhere below half a mil.

The Lightning GT seems to have dropped £30,000 though.

Perhaps it was either the Morgan Life Car or the Imperia GP, although I could swear that it was a vehicle that look more like the Lightning.
