In the new version of GM-Volt.com, community members can start their own new stories in the forum and they will appear on the frontpage of the site for thousands to see each day.

We have now added the ability to have the image of your choice accompany your article on the frontpage, a feature many had requested.

When you create your new forum thread simply click the attachment icon and upload the photo of your choice from your computer. After you submit the thread the software will automatically resize your photo and it will be on the frontpage.

Go ahead and try it. This post is the first example.

Did that tonight, and had a couple problems. Problem 1: I attached 2 images. Ended up with two front page posts. Nope, not good. Only wanted the first image attached to the posting and a single entry on the main page. Wanted the second image included in the body. Second problem: I attached the image at the head of the post, not the tail. The 842 shows up as the first text of my "headline" of the main page. Lame.

I'll note, deleting the second attachment from the post removed the second headline article, so at least that worked. But the code should handle multiple attachments in a sensible way.

Thanks for the feedback Rusty. I have forwarded this thread to our programmer who is working on resolving these issues.
