The pop up on top of the dash is quite large, I wouldn't want to put spare change in there. That one is more for sunglasses or cell phones (there's a charge port). The center console has a separated area, but again far too large and deep to be wasted on spare change. I have a bunch of change in there now and it seems to be staying put while driving and I'm not hearing any noise from it. when the console is open, there is a little depression/shelf toward the back of the compartment. So far, working well for me. Thanks...I decided to use the same area, but I have a small canvas zippered coin purse that I threw it in. Not sure why I didn't think of that before. Works quite well, also I can just grab the coin purse if I need to take it into the store or something.
