Can someone post some pictures of the interiors on the new volt. I would like to see the tan interior and the black if possible. The tan looks much lighter than the pictures I have seen before the rollout began and better than I thought.
Thanks,
P

Hi Chiefsfan,
Some pictures of the neutral interior can be seen at: http://picasaweb.google.com/yamahr1/PickUpDayForMy2011ChevroletVolt
They sort of also give you an idea of the black interior too, if you can visualize the two-tone parts being all the darker tone.

I'll try to get some daylight shots of the interior later today or tomorrow. But those nighttime shots I took in the link are pretty representative. BTW, in the neutral interior there is a really nice, subtle touch in the double stitching around the seats, where the neutral colored leather meets the black leather (which is probably actually vinyl)-- it's a single stitch line of a sort of cyan (blue-green) colored thread. Sounds funky, but it works! One of those little attention to detail things that make this car so satisfying.

Thanks. It does look nice. I ordered a black on black car because I was afraid the tan would be to dark (too late to change). Now I am kinda mad at myself for not getting tan. Hopefully the black on black is nice (never been a huge fan). I am also concerned about decreased milage in the summer due to the black interior. UHHHHG

I like the black interior with the white console, it's a striking contrast. This is the first time I ever heard of anyone ordering black because tan would be too dark! :) (just kidding)

I originally ordered tan in large part because i liked the contrast, the darker console and the solid color of the plastic panel in the drivers/passenger door vs., with the dark interior, the monochromatic seating surfaces, white console and the grey "swirly patterns" in the plastic panels that I didn't really like. That said, having spent time in both cars, the interiors of both are really quite elegant. The tan interior is more "typical" of a car and, aside from the LCD screens, fairly "conventional" (IMHO) while the contrasting white accents really stands out against the black interior - my son says it reminds him of a "storm trooper" with the bright white against the dark black- and the grey plastic panels with the swirls actually work well. IMHO, the black interior is the more "futuristic"/avant-garde interior and very appealing. It ultimately comes down to preference but I hope that, no matter which you've ordered, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the end result and happy. I don't think you can really make a BAD decision as both are nice.
