In many of your posts, you quote your Volt #. What is that based on? VIN?

Thanks!

Last 3 numbers of your VIN. It is the number your unit came off the line. Mine was 135 and hence the 135th consumer Volt produced which is now sitting in a railcar outside Chicago ready for its final week of transport to CA. Soon enough they will be 4 digits!

Thanks. I'm #065!!!

That's an awesome sub-100 number to have. It should appear on your center console monitor when you turn it off or some such.

Thanks. I'm #065!!!

The last 5 numbers in the VIN indicate sequence number, so yours must be 00065. (If it were 01065, you'd be over 1000, but we know there haven't been that many Volts made yet.)

Congrats on being one of the first!

Yeah it displays on the nav screen when the car turns on, or when I turn the radio off. It says Volt #065, I should've realized that's what you guys were using in your sigs. It just seemed like so many of you had your Volts already, and the #'s were higher than I expected. It seems like so few of us have them over at Voltage forum, but here so many people seem to have them. I am indeed 00065 and I picked it up on Friday. I've got just shy of 200 miles on it so far.

Thanks!

Hey microchip, good to see you over here in the REAL Volt forum now :)

You might want to check out my FAQ below, although since you have yours you probably know most of it.

Welcome to the forum, Microchip! We're practically cousins, I'm Volt #63! I bought mine from Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie, Md. The Volt is now safely charging on 110VAC in my driveway. Tomorrow, the garage. I finally got my daughter's college stuff out of it!

Right now my charger is hanging in the garage (actually the far side of my barn), charging the car just outside. I'll be spending the weekend between Christmas and New Years moving the motorcycles, and my son's hockey equipment to the other side of the barn, and installing the garage door opener I just bought.
