Nice sunny day there at least. Its been raining in SD for 4 days now. We're not used to that and are starting to get stir crazy. We do like it since it means 10-20 ft of new snow in the Sierras for skiing and snowboarding!

Nice pictures. Thanks for posting. By the way, does yours have the premium wheels or not? I can't decide which I plan to go with yet.

I am 90% sure he does not have the premium wheels. I actually like the look of the base wheels more now I have seen quite a few pictures of them.

I think those might be the polished wheels. $600 is actually pretty reasonable for the upgrade, IMHO.

Cheifsfan is correct, I do NOT have the premium wheels. It's the only option not on the car. As I've written about before here, I had tried to change my order when I had second thoughts about the wheels but at that point it was too late. In the end I'm happy that I got the base wheels. As you can see in the pictures, the face of each spoke is actually a brushed aluminum, not paint. Everything but those faces are painted metallic silver. Bottom line for me is I still think both types look really nice, but in the end I'm actually glad I got the base wheels, probably even if the polished ones were a no-charge upgrade.

Looking at photo #9. You can see there is no reflection off the wheels. They are painted. This is a twin to my #555 due to arrive in a couple weeks. Thanks for posting the great pics.

That's good to know, because those wheels look just fine, and if it saves $600, all the better. Thanks for the clarification. At first glance, I thought, "Those look WAY too nice to be base wheels!"

Is it my imagination or does every red Volt look different?
Maybe the lighting makes a big difference.
Is it fire engine red, burgundy or what?

It's very lighting dependent. Most of those shots are in very bright sunlight. I think photo #9 is pretty representative. It's neither fire engine red nor burgundy, and it is metallic but kind of subtle in that respect. I guess you just have to see it in person.
