See the attached page on using a mileage database to track your electric/gas vehicle.

The Volt could do some butt kicking and would be a way to show a "driving" sort of log of how great the Volt is.

P.S. Related thread on getting gm-volt.com to do something like this but there seemed to be no interest... thus using anothers sites mileage tracking portion. http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread.php?5841-PR-and-fun-volt-owners-should-have-a-common-driving-mileage-log&highlight=cleanmpg

Removed link to other website ... I definitely was not promoting taking our discussion to another site because this one fits perfectly with the Volt and competitors! I was really only pointedly/gingerly suggesting using their mileage log/database because it included info on electric vehicles. ABSOLUTELY use the one at gm-volt.com as soon as it becomes available

The GM-Volt.com programmer is creating exactly the same database right here. It takes some time so be patient but should roll out shortly. (http://gm-volt.com/forum/report.php?p=49658)

No need to go anywhere else.

Re: Getting 25 Miles of Electric Range or Less in the Chevy Volt

Lyle, how's that mileage/driving range enhancement we talked about coming?

We need several stats for people to log for *1* charge (vs 2 like you):
- outside temp,
-various inside control settings (fan speed, temp, eco),
- L/D, initial ev estimate,
- charged with 120 or 240
- precondition cabin @ xx temp
- during the day parking (direct sun, covered garage, enclosed garage)
- ???
...and the ***reportings*** will be key I think.
