Has anyone in NJ found out if JCP&L (Jersey Central Power & Light) offers and options to do time-of-use metering for residences? Searching their site and the web turned up nothing that I could find.

However, Jersey folks, I did turn up what looks like some good news, where next year it seems it will cost 5% less to charge our Volts:

Seems like perfect timing for buying a Volt: electricity rates going down while gasoline prices are going up!

JCP&L charges 17.5 per kwh.
They do have a day/night program, I forgot to ask what the hours are. The rates are 23.5 for day and 13 for night. I don't think that will work to me as I have an active daytime office in my house with lots of equipment running all day.

Thanks. That actually doesn't sound like a very good deal. If I charge my car every night using 12.5 KW/h, that's $66 a month. At the lower rate, I would save only $17 a month. The way we use electricity around this house during daytime hours, I'll bet the rest of my bill would jack up by $100 or more.

I'm not interested.
