Well folks.....after following the Volt progress for more than a year...I finally just put money down on one! Lets hope I actually see it before February!
Anyway....I have a question. I am aware of the ~4500 free charging stations that are being given away. My question is...Are they gone all ready? How does one go about getting one?

All help appreciated!

I would suggest going to this site:

http://www.homecharging.spx.com

Once you fill out the survey they can tell you if you qualify for one of the 'free' chargers. Note that the charger itself may be free, but you must pay for the installation by a certified SPX technician. While I haven't gotten my official quote from them yet, on the phone the person I was speaking with said that a 'typical' installation may cost around $1400. They said that you can get an official quote first before committing to the install.

You can also purchase one of the Voltec chargers yourself through SPX... I think they mentioned it would cost around $400... and then have it installed by whomever you choose. We may go down this road ourselves as we're planning on having some renovation work done to our house anyway, so the electrician will already be here.

I hope this helps. Welcome to the 'soon-to-be-owners' club!
