Wanted to check in and say that I have a red Volt ordered, due to be built, I am told, in late December or January.

Pleased you joined us. I am a Marylander as well and I have an order (at Criswell in Gaithersburg) in for a red Volt. Last I heard the build date was late December so maybe that is when DHam has a batch of red Volts scheduled. Look forward to hearing of your progress on the order.

I believe I am 6th of 21. I believe 21 is all they are getting for the whole year (2011).

Yes, we can compare notes. I just posted about an event at Sport Chevrolet. They have three Volts there today that folks can check out. Just got back. Got to drive one. Fun!

Welcome, EL! Thanks for your posting and photos from Sport. I too am a Marylander with a Volt on Order. I ordered mine from Ourisman in Bowie. They tell me that I'm number 1 of 6 allocations. I've been watching my Volt's progress on Camarotracking.com and forun that I'm at 3800, with a VIN number of 63! If you've been reading the forum, you know that Chevy hasn't shipped any sold units because 1) the EPA doesn't have a sticker for it yet and 2) GM wants to celebrate "Job 1" rolling off the line. I hope to have mine by Christmas, but waiting is hard.

How did you find out about the Volts at Sport? Did you just happen in, or did they tell you?

They called me because I had an order pending.

Hello EL! Ourisman called me today and said that a Volt specialist will be at the dealer on Saturday, 12/11, 11am - 3pm. They will have a Volt available for test drives. I signed up to go, so maybe I'll see you there!
