Is it possible to default so that whenver the car is started that it is automatically set to Sport Mode instead of Lazy/Relaxed mode?;)

It doesn't appear so. I was told it resets to normal each time you start the car.

At WOT they both respond exactly the same anyways ;)

In the latest Green Tech Today / This Week In Tech episode, which features the Volt (http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread.php?5735-Green-Tech-Today-video-episode-reviews-Volt), during the test drive the GM guy says that Sport mode also "tightens up the steering a little bit", in addition to the accelerator mapping change that we knew about. The steering mapping change is news to me.

I find myself using the sport mode exclusively since it doesn't use more energy, just has a sharper ascending pedal map. I love it. I would like it to stay there as a default too (configurable) but doesn't look like an option.

When you shift into sport while at some speed you feel a sudden kick in after a brief delay. Cool.
