The fleet of consumer advisory board Volts will come adorned with this special windshield graphic promoting the name of the car and the fact that it uses a plug:

Very cool. It's not gaudy either. Nice and subtle.

My wifes biggest disappointment at the Unplugged event in SF was the GM rep telling her that the Graphics on the test cars would not be an option on production units. She especially liked the charge cord and plug graphic that wrapped around the front fender.

Lyle,

Maybe it's time for a new magnetic bumper sign for the Volt owners. I have enjoyed having the current one on the back of the '94 Cad (that got turned in for "Cash for Clunkers") and the replacement '09 Chevy HHR. However the current one will still be true on the back of the Volt if I go ahead with plans to buy the Tesla Model S when my order is ready for production.

Was the graphic added at the factory? At least mine's at a 3300, but need the plug in order to be cool :o)

We are not allowed to have the windshield graphic. The wipers were snagging on it. It bums me out.

I have asked, since the first visit to Detroit, for some big LOUD graphics on the car that say things like "I'm driving ELECTRIC!"

Okay, I'll look into just getting it done myself.

Colin,

Seems silly to me for Chevy not to have some pretty major graphics available on these - great free advertising for the Voltage Nation! Congrats on your new baby and please keep up the CAB push for such.....let me know what 'I'll look into just getting it done myself' results in. Txs!

I've sent email to the posted site for Volt graphics, asking if they'd be interested in providing graphics to one of the first Volts on the road. We'll see. I'd love to have "Driving Electric!" on the side of the car.

I'm planning on using "window chalk" to advertise my lifetime MPG.

We have a sign cutter in our basement. I plan on creating some of my own graphics for my car when I get it.

Sell A Car Online (http://www.sellmycarphoenix.com/) Is it better to trade in or sell my car myself? Cash For Cars (http://www.sellmycarphoenix.com/) Did anyone here take advantage of the cash for cars stimulus?

The CARS program achieved the objectives set out by Congress to increase automotive sales and aid the environment. In just a few short weeks of sales, nearly 680,000 older vehicles were replaced by new, more fuel-efficient vehicles. The nation's economy benefited immediately from this stimulus program, which caused a distinct upward movement in GDP and created or saved tens of thousands of jobs at a very critical time in the recovery process.

At the unplugged tour in Chicago, I asked if the graphic that was on the CAB cars would be available. They were not sure but did say one thing they learned is that not everybody like to advertise their "greenness".

Apparently there was a windshield graphic on the hybrid tahoe and they said it was the number one requested warranty item to be fixed (aka removed). The customers feedback and attitude was ... I just want you to make me an efficient vehicle but I don't want to "brag" about it. After all they are driving a SUV I guess.

(In my best Johnny Carson/ Dana Carvey voice) “Is that wild? That is wild! I did not know that. I did not know that. Weird, wild stuff…”

I am bumping this thread, hoping that it will stir enthusiasm. I want to see some cool graphics for the Volt. I like the chevy volt decal for the hood, and the one on the windshield. I have been searching and not turning up much that looks right for the volt. :(

I would like this graphic from...I think it is even somewhat subtle...basically a picture of a plug.

Did google searches and ran across a few.

Using equal and D and a dash is a pretty cleaver way to communicate a plug. Saw it in a persons sig.

http://www.decalkits.com/customdecal.php has various fonts. Perhaps a side window decal.

My google search: was this. (http://www.google.com/search?&q=vinyl+car+window+graphics)

I saw plenty of sites where I could print words and such. I am wanting some graphics, or something a bit special. I did find a website where I could upload images and have them printed on high quality die cut vinyl. I found a super high res image of earth, like 15MB. I put it onto a 1ft circular decal and it looked cool. Then I saw for the 2 I wanted it would be $60 all together. I just don't think I want to pay $60 to cover up the extra $995 paint job. :(

I think I want something similar to the 2 graphics here. Something simple. I would have considered a racing stripe, but not now. I mean, the roof is kind of already an ornament of itself, as well as the black bits under the windows. So, technically the car won't need much dressing up. I would like to find a way or two to communicate to other drivers what exactly is happening under the hood.

Side note, many people know about the car. I have had entire construction crews stop and watch me go by after someone pointed and yelled something like "OMG, look it's a Volt!"
