Will this be good, or bad, for everyone who drives a car?

Great.... not only are they getting all our money but we get to amuse them like their own personal jesters in court too.

What a waste of time and money to sue OPEC... These guys are laughing all the way to the bank!

Can we sue our own govermant for not drilling for oil here?
Can we also sue our own govermant for not allowing a refinery to be built in over 30 years?
Or maybe we should sue our selves for keeping some of these dolts in office for 30 and 40 years?

I'd drill through a polar bears head to get to oil that we didn't need to bow down to thugs for.

Typical Democrat ploy, get their trial lawyers a huge windfall, while the costs of the proceedings will be passed onto consumers. Same thing happened with tobacco - the only ones to pay are the smokers.

Children, gather round, and let me explain something to you.

ANY COSTS OR TAXES IMPOSED ON AN INDUSTRY IS PAID BY THE CONSUMER. DEMOCRATS WANT TO LOOK LIKE THEY ARE ON YOUR SIDE, WHILE THEY ARE TAKING YOUR MONEY TO ENRICH THEIR CONSTITUENTS (in this case, trial lawyers).

The measure passed in a 324-84 vote, a big enough margin to override a presidential veto.

This quote was from the article at Reuters. I didn't realize there were so many Democrats in the house.

But that doesn't mean I don't think it's all a waste of money and time.

Talk about election year feel good legislation!! I feel better, don't you? We're really going to let those Arabs have it now boy! They're in big trouble. About the only thing we have left to export is lawyers, so look out, we're going to send a gaggle of suits over to your tents and they will confound you with reams of tiny little text!

Man we are silly. They must be laughing themselves sick.

Sigh....:( There goes for another prove that american is addict to oil. The goverment got to stop thinking about forcing something that other will not or can not do it. It like the goverment telling me not to drink water while the Fresh water is drying up. The goverment got to fix themself to what american needed. American need energy and oil is out of the question to deal with it. The goverment can help it own country to start working getting out of oil and get into other energy.

This can't be for real. What court is going to hear a freakin' CIVIL SUIT against a multi-national organization?!?!?!?

This seems like trolling, and makes absolutely no sense.

Although it was posted to Reuters, there was no bill number, or anything else to reference it.... As the original link goes to a site called "tigerdroppings," I would imagine that this is actually troll poop!
