Maybe I'm late to the table with this(haven't heard any discussion, although it seems inevitable), but is there any consideration given to the possibility of utilizing RF technology or some sort of telemetric technology to allow the volt(or any other electric car) to be refueled from someone else's receptacle with the car owner being billed for utility usage instead of the receptacle owner?
If possible(and it certainly seemspossible) this would open up the possibility for almost limitless use of the electric drive and thereby reduce our dependence on foreign oil even more.
I can envision such places as motels, public parking garages, restaurants, etc. providing receptacles for use by others if they are not going to be charged by utility company.
