I wonder how much attention GM is paying. Probably not very much. It's so funny how Nissan is gearing up for 500,000 EVs by 2013 and GM is gearing up for 50,000 global sales by 2013. Someone is way off.

Are you sure you or the article you read is quoting those numbers correctly?

According to Motor Trend, pre-orders for the Volt have already exceeded 50,000.
