I didn't enter the test drive essay contest because I have a prior commitment in Arizona at that time.

Imagine my chagrin when I received an email today from the new Volt marketing manager inviting me to the New York test drive as well as a chance to meet some of the Volt development team. I would kill to participate!

In case you’re wondering, the invite is a result of responding to an online survey as a ChevroletVoltAge member. The email did say that if I am interested but unavailable at that time I should let them know and they’ll try to fit me in another time. I will certainly do that.

It’s nice to know that Murphy hasn’t forgotten about me!

I also received such an invitation, but had to decline. I started running the numbers (flights, hotel, etc.) for a trip to NYC from WI, and as much as I'd love to drive a Volt, three minutes of bliss wasn't worth a thousand-plus bucks. I just can't justify it.

Actually, it has... with a joyful vengeance. It's been beautiful, warm and sunny about 8 out of the past 10 days. Cabin fever is rapidly receding.
