It is too bad that people can't seem to differentiate between ethanol from food and ethanol from bio-waste. Yes, ethanol will start out most from food, but eventually, breakthroughs and investment will shift the sourcing from food to bio-waste.

Similarly, hydrogen will start out from methane, but will eventually be produced from solar hydrogen generators and other renewable sources.

As corn prices rise, ethanol producers will find other sources for their ethanol production, and quickly move to switchgrass and bio-waste (corn stalks, etc.).
