It's just a car. Maybe the catfish-like appearance will appeal to fisherman. If they get more of them to showrooms faster than GM it may steal market share away from the Volt. Certainly public relations mind-share. If it gets good professional and user reviews and people fall in love with it it will become a beautiful thing - like the Prius (which is very ugly).

Oh it's ugly all right, but that seems to appeal to a certain type of buyer these days. They seem to confuse ugly with unique and disruptive. Sort like an anti hero. It's hip to be square kind of thing. There will be all kinds of people that will tell you that this is great looking car and Nissan will sell them out. End of the day, it's still an ugly car.

Beauty is a personal thing, but I have to say that I think most Nissan products are ugly, except maybe for the GT-R.

So the Leaf fits right in with their entire model line...............

I whole heartedly agree. Pretty dismal styling over at Nissan. Fortunately for them, styling is no longer what sells cars.

In the crossover class I think the Murano is not so bad looking.

Seen some Z cars that are pretty hot too, little borrowed from Porshe.

In this video the Catfish look is not so prominent.. perhaps this is another of those cars that you have to see in person to appreciate.

Umm... yeah... still pretty crappy looking. Like I said before, there will some that will find it's organic, slug like appearance to be "quirky" and "futuristic" but most will say "Whatever, that car's butt ugly!" and many will just say, "I know it's ugly, but hey, it's an EV, so I can live with that."
